# The Honest Bible

> A free, simple tool to help people study the Bible on their own using the SOAP method (Scripture, Observation, Application, Prayer). Pick any passage, read it slowly, write what you notice, and respond to God. No ads, no paid features. Created by Pedro Junker, a youth leader since age 17.

The Honest Bible is not a reference library or commentary. It is a daily study habit tool. "Honest" does not mean questioning whether the Bible is true: the Bible is God's Word and is sufficient. It means being honest with ourselves that we can all study more of it, every day.

## The SOAP method
- **S – Scripture:** Read a passage slowly and write down the verse that stands out.
- **O – Observation:** What do you notice? Who is speaking, what is happening, what does it say about God?
- **A – Application:** How does this change what you believe or do today?
- **P – Prayer:** Respond to God in your own words.

SOAP began with Pedro's youth group; after almost two years it was brought to the whole church, where most members now share their SOAPs daily in small groups.
